STI eXpress (STIX) Asymptomatic Testing
WEDNESDAYS / 8:30-11 A.M.
The STIX Clinic offers confidential STI testing by appointment for students seeking STI testing with no symptoms of STI and with no known exposure to STI.
- Gonorrhea
- Chlamydia
- HIV
- Syphilis
- Complete the STIX Questionnaire in the Deacon Health Portal at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
- Do not urinate for at least 1 hour prior to your appointment
- Arrive on time: appointments over 5 minutes late may be rescheduled
- Not showing up for your appointment may be subject to a no-show fee.
Please note that testing recommendations vary based on the date of unprotected sexual contact, if applicable. All tests are available as screening tests upon request, regardless of whether unprotected sex has occurred. There is a fee associated with this service.
POSSE Clinic

The POSSE Clinic offers free walk-in testing at Deacon Health two evenings a month after regular clinic hours. Please call Deacon Health at 336.759.5218 for more information.
Tests administered vary based on the number of partners, history, symptoms, and protection methods but range from urine tests and swabs to blood tests.
Confidential HIV and STI testing is also available for free at the Forsyth County Health Department located at 799 Highland Avenue, Winston-Salem. For more information or to set up an appointment, call 336.703.3100.
